Requiem for a Goldfish

Alas poor Otto, I knew him well?
1 fish, 2 fish, now there's no fish?
Fishy in the water fishy in the sea, you karked it, I flushed you, and now it's time for tea?

I had long suspected that the fish would go before I did, half expecting that one day I'd walk past the tank and see him floating... which he was, this morning... on his side...(Not natural). At least he was dead; I'm not sure I could have euthansed him. Is the best part of 4 years is a good innings for a fish? I have no idea.

There you have it. Otto is no more.

Ooh I've got it...

So Long Otto, and Thanks For Being a Fish.

Deepest sympathies. I hate it when pets die. But it looks like little Otto had a pretty good innings. Just over two years ago our pet boxer dog died and we were all traumatised of course because she had been a part of our lives for 14 years. But 14 years is a bloody good innings for a boxer dog whose lifespan is only usually 8-10 years. I will raise a class to Otto tonight!

Ottooooo... SUCH a pretty fishy you were.

Sorry for your loss, Dee.

P.S. Yay for the pretty button! (I saw it today!)

P.P.S. Yes, I'm still alive. Have had trouble getting onto MSN chat?!? (Is it just me or is their fault?)
