Who Need Enemies?

| | Comments (2)

catbadge.gifWhen your friends, who are kind enough to make a name badge for your cat get the name and number so COMPLETELY wrong...

Clearly not cat lovers...

(and yes, he did make me one with the right details... but not before we'd had a good laugh over the placebo...)

Well, it isn't as though I've a large garden. And actually, the people living here before me had an infant... So I'm not sure just how the garden got as decorated as it did. So I'm blaming faeries.

I lay out on the lawn last weekend just enjoying the last afternoon of summer and began to notice all these hidden gems... Sorry, it's a flash file which may be a bit of a nightmare for dial-uppers... But, I took out the camera just to see how many of these gems I could capture...

So what's a the bottom of your garden?

Well, Farli asked for it... so here it is... As is usually the case these things take on a life of their own and a simple diagram turned into an epic...

Chocolate = Bliss

| | Comments (3)

Bliss has been in town, both last week and this. The week before that she was in New Zealand and while she was there she thought of me.

I love that.

She thought I'd like some chocolate... NZ made, proper dark chocolate with white peppermint filling. This is peppermint chocolate done right... which is different than Australian Cadbury Chocolate which is milk, with green (ewww) filling. And made in Australia, which, don't get me wrong, I love Australia... but doesn't measure up in the chocolate dept as every self respecting Kiwi will tell you...

Anyway... Bliss was in NZ, 2 weeks ago and bought me chocolate... and came to Sydney last week and FORGOT TO BRING IT WITH HER.

Upon this earth shattering announcement I generously allowed that she need not feel guilty if she couldn't help herself and had to eat it. Realistically... I probably would have... I mean... NZ peppermint chocolate... all alone... on the shelf...

But because she loves me so much she exercised great will power and last night... at our favourite Steak Restaurant she gave it to me...

I heart Bliss.

We Interrupt this Travelogue

We have a new office.

A new office with a lovely shiny dishwasher...

And still people leave dishes in the sink.

This, was my response this afternoon...

Yes, it is possible I have nothing more important to do...

Possible, but not likely...

Baggage Claim

Ok, you've probably wondering if I've been to America for the wedding of the year or not...

I haven't... (like duh... I'd have told you already right??)

I'm getting geared up (pun intended) for the event... and to that end I've been shopping. Internet shopping to net me a baggage bargain...

The evidence below, both purchased online, both bargains. The Camera/Computer bag is brand new but I saved $30.00 buying online... The roller bag was an excess wedding gift, used once and sold to me... cha ching...

I know you're really interested in my luggage... It's so interesting I made an animation (see below) sheesh... you'd think I could find something better to do wouldn't you??

What I Did on the Weekend

Just in case I needed another surface in the room to accumulate all the stuff I can't be bothered putting away, I went to the Salvos (Sallies) on the weekend and picked up a table (bargain, $40.00) to convert into a bit of office space.

This is ostensibly so I can make room to concentrate on work and study.... otherwise I'm usually trying to study from the bed, where the temptation to read novels, or just plain sleep takes over, or in front of the tv where I miss half the show because I was concentrating on work, or miss half the work because my attention was diverted to CSI or whatever crime time drama is on the box...

So Saturday I picked up the bargain table... and Sunday we went to Ike(a)'s to see what kind of office bargains we could get... (but mostly for the $3.75 (for 100) tea lights, we'd run out of those...).

Basically, I spent $100 this weekend and now am in a much better place to work from home.

Which is a good thing given that, come May 1st, I am dropping a day a week from work...
